I am an artist, mainly in oils. I enjoy taking photographs in NYC or in any direction from my house within three to four hours drive. I come back to my studio and paint mostly those places or buildings that I want to preserve. Each time I go into the country I find another farm being razed for a housing development and I see so many of our historic city buildings torn down for huge glass and concrete edifices. I have a need to preserve our built history and I am doing it in my art.
I am working on political collages at the time as well as a memoir “My Mother is Coming to Live With Me”. I have been writing from the age of 9 to the present. I find joy in putting my mark on a blank piece of paper and as my art work, the paper becomes something wonderful and takes on a life of its own. Being creative is my happiness.
