Things have been very hectic. I haven’t had a chance to breathe let alone write anything in my journal. I will quickly write a few things that have happened over this week and fill in the details later. right now I have to go to a job, the bank, look at a house for sale in Tenafly and then visit my psychic.
Okay lets start from the beginning:
Sunday February 28,. I went to the Hamptons with Alexi, Nicole and her fiance Mitch. The weather was horrible and there was rain, fog and wind, during the entire trip. It never really let up at all. We made it safely but late and arrived at East Hampton one half hour after we were supposed to. I call d the broker when we were almost there, think he might as well meet us at the house we were supposed to see, right across the street from the traditional one that I loved two weeks before.
We met the broker and walked into this very impressive home. On first look it was amazing. Fireplace, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, over an acre of land. There was a Cathedral ceiling in the living room and a fireplace. Part of this one big great room was the dining room and a kitchen open to the large room, tucked in a corner. There was five bedrooms. Alexi, Nicole and Mitch all loved it. With so much included I was impressed as well.
We were off schedule and had to get across the street as soon as possible. I back out of the driveway in the foggy and rainy late afternoon and heard a huge crash. the sound of metal hitting an immovable object. I was looking out the side view mirror as I backed out of the driveway but had not seen any obstruction . I looked out after the thud that stopped my car short and still. I still didn’t see anything in my path. I jumped out of the car to see what the noise was all about. And then I saw it all. My car had connected with a humongous tree. The real estate agent had heard the shrieking noise as well an stopped his car at the same time. Alexi started to cry but I just turned to her and asked “Don’t worry my little sweetie. Mommy hit a tree. It’s fixable and no one was hurt. That’s what really counts.” “Really Mommy?” she looked up at me with her big sad brown eyes. “Yes honey. Come on we have another house to look at.”
Nicole looked at me and asked. “Dont you want to see the damage.?” I answered as calmly as I could muster up. “I can always see the damage and anyway I can see it just as well when we get to the other house. I don’t want to make myself any more annoyed than I already am. With that I jumped in to the car and slowly continued to back out of the damn driveway. No parting words directed at Alexi were “If we decide to buy this house we just have to remove this tree that’s all.”
